spending my friday night watching bbc's life right now and it's so much better than going out. im still watching episode 1, i was extremely fascinated by clarks grebes

they  have a hilarious courtship dance, you can find videos of it on youtube

clarks grebeand the panther chameleon, oh and the stalk eyed fly that pushes air bubbles into its head or something and inflates its eyes which become erect.

school is done but im still working and going to be taking a summer art history class starting next week until the end of june. and then interning at cannonball press yayyy! i will be scanning and uploading some woodcuts i've done recently, soon. working tomorrow 12-6...getting up in about 5-6 hours so it is bedtime!

im writing my history of illustration paper and presentation on jose guadalupe posada and found this very sad excerpt in Posada's Mexico: "his prints, appearing in many journals and on thousands of broadsides, were reocgnized throughout mexico, yet he lived a sedentary life of anonymity and was placed in a paupers grave at his death in 1913 by neighbors, only one of whom could sign his name"

i have to get up a little early so i can go to school and scan some of my work for this scholarship thing that i probably won't win because i'm definitely not the best illustrator in my year

taking the advice i got from my level reviews to practice digital painting so i can make $$$, this is my first celebrity likeness, zachary quinto, not finished.

I have not been to the laundromat in about a year, possibly longer. I've been using the tiny washing machine in the apt but there is not dryer so all of my clothes dry stiff and smelly, and I've been wearing dirty clothes. So today I'm venturing out into the cold to go the laundromat and to be stared at by the chinese people in there. yayyy. I really really don't want to do this :(

I found this ridiculous little creature on cuteoverload love it love it.

Also I would like to recommend that you watch The House Bunny because Anna Faris is hilarious and so are the rest of the ladies in the cast. If you have Netflix, watch Cracking the Maya Code. It's awesome. Mayan glyphs are so complex and graphic.

Welcome to my new blog

I will be writing very personal thoughts that I don't have the balls to say out loud, posting a lot of my artwork in hopes of figuring out where I want to go with my illustration life. I will probably post a million pictures of cute animals because I am a sicko like that. I babble a lot, just a warning.

Today, I am going to build my wire cubes and clean my room, hopefully. Later I will post some of my work from this past fall semester.
